I've just met this 23yo who went from 0 to 325,000 followers in 3 months by building in public.
His name is Keegan Shivers, and he definitely cracked Instagram algo.
I spent an hour with him to understand how he did it, this is what I've learned:
His first videos were "monotone, bland, and boring". No structure, felt cringe, he had no clue what he was doing.
But he kept doing it. He kept in mind that most people quit at the hard point. If you don't, you beat 99% of people
His mistake at the beginning was to "try to be" someone else. He focused too much on the script. Forgetting who he was really.
When he stopped being a "robot" and added personality. His first video got 1M+ views.
He literally showed me his "shake out" exercise before recording to get loose.
Repetition builds recognition and informs new viewers.
So instead of trying to be creative every time he records a video. He repeats the same hook over and over on every video.
"X days ago we bought this house for $267,000, …".
He says that it serves two purposes: returning viewers recognize him, new viewers get context.
He films 4-5 videos in one day (with different outfits)
Reads the script sentence by sentence in different spots
Edits on Capcut with quick cuts and smooth transitions to keep viewers watching longer
For him, the watch time is more important than anything else.
PS: He also shared his script structure in the interview.
He got inspired by Rajan Chida.
He studied the hook, the CTA, the script structure, what works.
And he added his own personality on top of that.
Instead of a generic "follow me" at the end of the video, he always uses "Follow along as we bring this house back to life".
I found out that all the content creators I interviewed use the same trick. And it works!
Every week, I interview a content creator that went from 0 to hundreds of thousands of followers by documenting his journey through daily video.
I learn from them and apply what they teach me.
So far, it helped me going from 400 views to +3,000 views per video.

It’s been a while, and I really wanted to write this newsletter again!
I’ll be here every week, sharing everything I learn.
I wish you an happy and productive week 💪
